im a very practical person.
when opportunity comes my ways,i dont waste it!
i recall joining the Division of the Youth in Science Club (DOYSC)...it was a wonderful experience!
though my mom was very much against it,i convinced her....
when i arrived at the West Central, where the pageant was held, i was so nervous!

''i have to prove my mom that my decision wasnt wrong,
i have to defend my science teacher that choosing me of all girls
at my school was the right thing to do and most of all...
i have to do my best!''

these words keep on running to my head.
next to talent portion, we proceed to Q&A....whew! i felt butterflies in my stomach when the other contestants who was first asked cant answer.

when it was my turn, i gave the judges a sweet smile as if i'm not nervous.
one of the three judges asked me...

judge: in your opinion, is there more advantage or disadvantage of our technology today?
cite some examples.
i took a deep breath and answer...
me: thank you for the interesting question, we are aware that humans made tremendous
advancement all fields of endeavor...however,technology is not perfect! the by-product of
this pollution in many forms and if not acted on soon...it will damage our ecosystem which is
the bad ugly side of progress...that would be all, thank you.
i heard the crowd clappin'.i saw my mom smiling proudly while my teacher gave me a thumbs up!i knew then that im gonna make it through the regional.
..and did!=)
